March Madness

First of all, this post has nothing to do with college basketball (sorry boys), and I am fully aware that it is no longer March.

Today is April 5th, and in other words, the end of Mercury Retrograde. Finally!

While I read my horoscope occasionally, I certainly don’t live by it, and have never put much weight into the side-effects of mercury retrograde…Until now.

You may have noticed that I have been absent from my blog for the last few weeks, and even my entire online presence was weak. That’s because I have basically been a walking billboard for Murphy’s Law. Computer issues, phone problems, near car crashes, setback after setback, leading to argument after argument, plus an overall lack of inspiration has really put me in a funk.  I went weeks without doing my nails (unheard of), and the things that used to excite and inspire me just left me bored.

I felt a change last night though, I put a fresh coat of lacquer on my nails, and bookmarked pages upon pages of potential blog ideas. So here’s to April showers, May flowers, and a return to normalcy.

I leave you with some beautiful bright and caotic paintings that I came across by Berlin-based artist Yago Hortal. The abstract neon works perfectly encompass my current state of mind; Overwhelmed, but optimistic.

Until next time (soon, I promise).
