Swimming in Colour

If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you probably know that I was struck with a killer toothache last Thursday, which resulted in the 3 absolute worst days of my life… and an emergency root canal. Needless to say, I wasn’t in a clear head space to be imparting words of fashion wisdom. Now that penicillin has worked its magic on me, and I’ve made up for a few pain-induced sleepless nights, I am back to my old self.

For as long as I can remember, one of my biggest fashion weaknesses has been swimwear. This probably has a lot to do with the fact that I grew up in a beach town and was the epitome of a beach bum as a teenager. Now, although I don’t frolic in the sand as much as I’d like, I still own at least 25 bikini’s, and that number grows every season. One designer that I am currently drooling over is New York based Mara Hoffman. For her lastest swim collection, Hoffman found inspiration in Cuba, and the Caribbean. Her mixture of vibrant prints and saturated colours, all within a lush jungle backdrop are enough to make a girl pack up and leave city life behind for a tropical paradise (as if I don’t already dream about doing just that).

  1. Ooooh, the swimwear is absolutely divine!!! But, forget the fashion (and it is really NOT like me to say that! 😉 ) I’m so much more captivated & enchanted by the tropical surroundings & gorgeous models!! This really does look like paradise & the explosion of colourful flowers in the setting is so beautiful!! Love this! 🙂 Stay stylish,
